Privacy

MyIA is a personal agent. It reads your calendar, your recent mail and the documents you give it, so it can answer questions and draft things for you. This page says exactly what that means in storage terms.

What is stored

• Your account — email address, a hashed password, your timezone, language and daily budget.
• Your conversation — the messages you exchange with MyIA, on the web and in Telegram.
• Documents you upload or forward — the file, the text extracted from it, and the passages it was split into for search. Each file is encrypted at rest under its own key.
• What MyIA has learned about you — short facts, each of which waits for your approval before it is ever used.
• An audit log — every action, every model call, every approval, with the run that caused it.
• Access tokens for anything you connect, encrypted, and any model API key you add, encrypted and never readable back out.

Your calendar and mail are read on demand and not copied. Nothing from Google is stored except what appears in an answer or the audit log.

Where it lives

On a server in Falkenstein, Germany, rented from Hetzner Online GmbH. There is no US region and there is no plan for one. The database is not reachable from the internet.

Who else sees it

Answering you means sending the relevant part of your context to a language model. Depending on what you have configured under Settings, that is one of:

• Anthropic (Claude)
• OpenAI — also used for transcribing a voice note, if you send one
• Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you point MyIA at yourself, including one running on your own machine

If you add your own API key, the request goes to your account with that provider and their terms apply between you and them. Otherwise it goes on this deployment’s key. Google and Telegram see what you would expect them to see, because they are your calendar, your mail and your chat app.

Nothing you give MyIA is used to train a model, by MyIA or by anyone acting for it.

What you can do about it

• Export everything — Settings → Your data. One JSON file, everything held about you.
• Delete your account — everything cascades immediately, and stored files are swept within 30 days.
• Revoke any permission — Settings → Permissions. Revocation is checked on the next read, not cached, so it takes effect at once.
• Delete a single document — the passages and the search index go with it, so MyIA can no longer answer from it.
• Forget a fact — Memory, at any time.

Cookies

None for tracking. The site stores your theme choice in your browser, and your session token once you sign in. There is no analytics script on this site.

Honesty about this page

MyIA is in development and has very few users. This is a factual description of what the software does, written against the source, and it is not a substitute for legal advice. If something here does not match what you observe, that is a bug — please tell us.
